Angel Pikula

Angel is eager to guide yoga practitioners from the Windward community and around the island as they join her in making yoga a beneficial part of their lives. She was inspired by the vibrant, happy 80-year-old woman who taught the first yoga class she ever attended.

The instructor credited those attributes to a strong yoga practice and a healthy lifestyle. Since then Angel continued to practice yoga asana (postures) in the studio and at home while creating a more yogic lifestyle. Asana practice quickly developed into studying Ayurveda, healing with whole foods, nutrition, anatomy, kinesiology, and spirituality.

While continuously reaping the benefits that yoga had brought to her life, she realized her kuleana to teach others. Angel received her Master’s Degree in Education in 2007. She is frequently found studying; focusing especially on neuroscience, learning, education, communication, and leadership in order to improve her ability to create an environment suitable for learning new skills. All of these experiences have provided Angel with a comprehensive understanding of well-being, and the talent necessary to assist others in finding their own path to improved health.

As an instructor of yoga, Angel’s enthusiasm and allegiance towards maintaining a free spirit, perceptive mind, and healthy body radiate from all aspects of her life. She aspires to bring all of the tools she has attained along her personal path to share with others as they embark on a journey of their own through yoga. Beyond yoga, Angel enjoys preparing and eating wholesome, nutritious, and delicious home-made unrefined treats. She also spends many hours sewing, making jewelry, photo journaling, and listening to a wide variety of music from around the world. Check the schedule and join her all levels yoga class on Saturday Morning.
