Embodied Yoga (Trauma Sensitive)

In this class, yoga shapes and movements will be offered as a way of facilitating a connection to your body in the present. All are welcome, options will be provided in a non-hierarchical way (no choice is better than another). Each movement is a choice - a choice to tune in, to decide how and if you’d like to move, and an opportunity to notice what you feel and what you need in your body. This is a trauma sensitive class - you do not need to identify as having experienced trauma and we will not discuss trauma stories or content. However, there will be an emphasis on co-creating a space where you can show up as you are, you are in charge of your body (no physical assists or adjustments will be provided) and we all are free to have our unique experiences while also sharing the practice together. Please feel free to reach out to the facilitator ahead of time if there is anything you’d like her to know. Chairs are available and chair-based options will be provided.
