We live in a fast-paced world with stress around every corner. Which is why cultivating the art of true rest so important. In a society that promotes getting more done faster, learning how "to do nothing" is a skill that can help you become more productive when you need to be.
When you truly rest fatigued muscles relax, tense shoulders and jaws soften, and the eyes quiet down to reflect a quieter state of mind. Your body shifts away from the sympathetic nervous system to the parasympathetic nervous system and you experience a calm, sweet release. Your nervous system will thank you, your family and friends will thank you and most importantly your heart and soul will thank you.
There is power when we join together as a group. As we remember what is most important to us, hold it in our hearts and breath life into it as a collective, we hold each other accountable for doing the work. Holding this space together for one another is what strengthens and supports our community.
