This months theme: The Breath

This is a monthly gathering that explores the elements of a successful meditation practice. Each month we will embrace a new theme and learn how to apply it to our practice.

One of the reasons we develop and maintain a meditation practice is to make us better equipped to handle the challenges we face in our daily lives.

The benefits we gain from a regular meditation practice allow us to become the witness and not get caught up in drama.

As we rewire the circuitry of our brain we change old patterning making it possible for us to respond to pressure in a more objective, intelligent and calm way.

During this workshop you will learn how to:

* Mitigate stress

* Handle challenging moments

* Unplug from excess stimulation

* Blend eastern & western philosophies

* Strengthen your practice

* Learn how to use the breath to deepen meditation

This workshop is about practicing meditation techniques that help create more mental clarity, concentration and harmony. It is a practice in deep relaxation so we can find that sweet spot of simply being. It is accessible to all.

What to expect:

Lecture on the breath and breathing practices

Meditative gentle asana (stretching)

Meditative Diaphragmatic Breathing

Restorative Savasana with Body scan (15 minute)

Seated Meditation cultivating the element of receptivity

Jennifer is an authorized teacher of Neelakantha Meditation, and iRest Yoga Nidra. She has been teaching yoga for over 20 years and leading teacher trainings and advanced yogic studies since 2009.

Please bring: Comfy clothes and an eye pillow
